Learn more about the endless number of career options awaiting you by enrolling in the engaging and interactive Career Exploration Institute’s Summer Program. Vital Link, a local leader in providing innovative career exploration programs to high school students and recent high school graduates, sponsors the Career Exploration Summer Program.
o Pinpoint your career interest areas as you take comprehensive interests, skills and work values assessments and surveys. The Kuder Career and Education Planning System, a leading provider of Internet-based tools and resources, will help you establish your college and career planning goals.
o Speak with professionals in your career interest areas and learn “first hand” about their day-to-day activities.
o Participate in “virtual” field trips to business sites via state-of-the-art video and teleconferencing technology.
o Develop a Personal Portfolio documenting your skills and accomplishments to lay the foundation for completing your college applications and sharpen your resume writing skills.
Once you have completed the eleven-day summer program you will have:
o A deeper understanding of career fields of your interest
o The skills needed to succeed in the workplace
o A comprehensive College and Career Plan to prepare for your education and career path
